Cypripedium parviflorum var. pubescens is a large orchid from rhizomes, with the labellum nearly completely enclosed into a pouch. Cypripedium has a fertile stamen on each side of the column, rather than one as is usual in orchids. Red dots mark the flower. Cypripedium parviflorum var. pubescens likes moist muddy habitat with dripping water. It is found growing with other types of orchid that prefer the same habitat.
