Synonyms:
Tithymalus altus (Norton) Wooton & Standley

Euphorbia alta is an upright herb with yellow glands and no appendages. The most notable character is the obviously tuberculate capsules. The leaves are oblanceolate. Euphorbia alta is found in the understory of the Ponderosa Pine forest.
