Jamesoniella autumnalis (DeCand.) Steph.

Family: Jungermanniaceae

Status: Native

Synonyms:
Jungermannia autumnalis DeCand.

Jamesoniella autumnalis is a relatively large liverwort, about 2-3.5mm across the stem, with succubus and obliquely inserted leaves. There are no underleaves. The leaf margins are entire and the leaves are unlobed. The rhizoids are dense and scattered over the stem. Branches are sparse and appear to originate right off the stem laterally (intercalary, rather than appearing ventrally.) Please click on an image for a larger file.
