Mimosa dysocarpa Bentham var. wrightii (Gray) Kearney & Peebles
Mimosa wrightii Gray

Mimosa dysocarpa is a shrub and is similar to Mimosa aculeaticarpa, except that the inflorescence is more elongate and pinkish purple. Both species are armed with prickles. Mimosa dysocarpa is much less common. The fruits of Mimosa dysocarpa are armed with about 4 prickles along one edge.
