Pseudoleskeella tectorum is a small, filamentous pleurocarpous moss with leaves that are too small to see without magnification. The leaves are only about 25 cells wide at mid-lamina and have ovate to quadrate cells. The weak costa can be absent, short forked, short single or short double. The shape of the leaf is that of a deep bowl with a wide lip around it except at the stem. This particular specimen was growing on the trunk of Gambel Oak.
