Undergraduate Programs Special Education
The Bell Tower sits atop the hill. This portfolio-based program provides extensive field experience to enhance classroom learning and guides pre-service students to performance outcomes in:
Professors with public school experience teach courses that maximize opportunities for student thinking and achievement. Professors closely monitor student progress while utilizing multiple ways of assessing student work. Methods courses focus on the individual and developmental needs of children, and tackle the inclusion and pull-out of exceptional students. Integration of technology in classroom instruction is addressed throughout the program. The student who completes this program successfully would be qualified for a K-12 special education license in the State of New Mexico. |
