The 39th annual National Institute for Social Work and Human Services in Rural Areas will take place at the WNMU main campus July 16-17.

The event is sponsored by the Institute for Rural Social Work Research School of Social Work.

The theme of the 2014 conference is Building Bridges: Embracing Rural Diversity.

“Silver City Rich in History – but Looking Forward”

People, places and things associated with the Town of Silver City – Billy the Kid, Buffalo Soldiers, Juan Chacon, Gila Cliff Dwellings, birth place of Geronimo, flourishing artists’ colony, Hot Springs, Gila National Forest and wilderness areas for hiking, camping and birding.
