What is MCAT+/DAT Academy ?

MCAT+/DAT is:

  • Medical College Admission Test and Dental Admission Test Preparation
  • FREE
  • Intense
  • Rewarding
  • Six-week long (June 6th – July 20th, 2016) 
  • Held at WNMU
  • For college juniors, seniors, and recently graduated students interested in pursuing a medical or dental degree
  • Must be able to attend the whole academy

The rigorous testing and training offered through the MCAT+/DAT Academy better prepares students for entrance into these very competitive medical and dental programs.

What do I get?

  • Over 50 hours of in-class test prep instruction covering the four sections in the MCAT /DAT
  • Online access to KAPLAN MCAT/DAT material to support instruction
  • Mock interviews and application workshops on the medical/dental school admission process
  • 5 proctored full length MCAT/DAT exams, complete with performance analysis
  • Networking with peers who share the same interests
  • Cultural competency training
  • Previous students have improved their test scores by 44%

Eligibility Requirements

  • New Mexico resident
  • Demonstrate interest in pursuing a health career
  • Minimum GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale
  • College junior, senior, or graduate
  • 8-credits of general biology, 8-credits of general chemistry, 6-credits of physics, and 6-credits of organic chemistry
  • Students are expected to bring their own laptop
  • Must be able to attend the whole academy
  • Students must plan to take the MCAT+ or DAT after finishing the academy

Time Commitment

Summer 2016

This year our program will start June 6th and extend to July 20th.

Students are expected to be in class 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday-Friday.

A mandatory graduation ceremony will be held on Friday, July 22nd.
