WNMU Early Childhood Programs Celebrates National Week of the Young Child™

WNMU Early Childhood Programs asks families, university and community to come together for children during the Week of the Young Child™. As part of the national Week of the Young Child™, the program is honoring young children and all those who make a difference in children’s lives.

EVENTS and CELEBRATIONS

At Child Development Center and Growing Tree Sites

Music Monday 4/17

Children will be creating musical instruments and having a dance party at each site.

Tacos and More Tuesday 4/18

To show our appreciation to our faculty and staff, families are providing “tacos and more”!

Movie Night Tuesday 4/18

Families of the Child Development Center and Growing Tree lab sites are invited to attend movie night at Light Hall.

Working Together Wednesday 4/19

To celebrate Friday Funday children are painting a mural. To give back to our community children and families are collecting donations for local animal shelters. The CDC and GT lab sites have donation boxes set up.

Artsy Thursday 4/20

CDC and GT will be on a campus walk at 10:00 a.m.to deliver art/musical instruments and resources about the importance of early learning. We look forward to seeing our campus communities. Spread the word that Early Years are Learning Years!

Funday Friday 04/21
Families are invited to join the children in outdoor activities and quality time together. Play is a child’s work.
