WNMU Promotional Items Earn Recognition In National Competition

Silver City – Winners were recently announced in the 29th Annual Educational Advertising Awards. Western New Mexico University received four recognitions for promotional items in signage, imprinted materials, search materials and publications. Nearly 2,000 entries were received from over 1,000 colleges, universities and secondary schools from all 50 states and several foreign countries. 
 
Sponsored by the Higher Education Marketing Report, the awards are judged by a national panel of high education marketers, advertising creative directors, marketing and advertising professionals and the editorial board of the Higher Education Marketing Report. 
 
“We are pleased to see WNMU on the list of recognized schools for the second consecutive year,” said Mimi Clark, WNMU Marketing Coordinator. “The winning items where not only received well by the judges but they connected with our students and the community.” 
 
Items earning recognition included a Gold award for a WNMU LED digital clock, a Bronze Award for a purple distressed Mustang Pride t-shirt, and Merit Awards for the “Westerner” alumni magazine and the “W” magazine.
WNMU was the only institution in New Mexico to earn recognition.
