Allium gooddingii is a beautiful tall onion with erect bright purple flowers. The outer bulb does not have conspicuously reticulate fibers. Thick rhizomes are present. The leaves are flat and 5-10mm wide. Allium gooddingii is found at upper elevations in the Mogollon Mountains.
