Bothriochloa laguroides subsp. torreyana has poorly developed pedicellate spikelets that are shorter than
the sessile spikelets. The sessile spikelets are less than 4.5mm long and the panicle is silvery. There are
copious hairs tending to obscure the spikelets. Bothriochloa laguroides subsp. torreyana grows in the median in disturbed ground along roadways.
