Disakisperma dubium is easily recognized by its panicle of spike-like branches. The spikelets usually have more than three florets.
The lemmas are broad and notched at the apex (subtle, only 0.5mm deep). They have three prominent nerves. Disakisperma dubium is a perennial and is found on roadsides at middle elevation.
