Echinopepon wrightii is a viney herb with long tendrils. The small white flowers occur in racemes. The spiny capsules are 2-3cm long. The leaves are palmately divided. Echinopepon wrightii is found climbing over trees and shrubs in the Pinon-Juniper Woodland areas of middle elevation.
