Hedeoma drummondii is a perennial herb with small lavender flowers marked with white inside the corolla tube. The
leaves are entire, none are toothed. The calyx lobes are connivent rather than spreading (as in H. nana) after flowering is over. The fruit consists of four smooth nutlets in a persistant calyx.
Hedeoma drummondii is found in dry sandy soil at middle elevation.
