Hordeum murinum subsp. glaucum is found in city sidewalks and around Silver City opportunistically. It is an annual distinguished by ciliate glumes on the center spikelets. The auricles are over 1mm long and the lemma of the central spikelet is nearly as long as those of the lateral ones.
