Hymenoxys hoopesii is a erect perennial at higher elevations. The leaves
are oblanceolate, relatively broad, with a strong central vein. The rays are long, thin,
and yellow and always look droopy. The disc is greenish-brown. Hymenoxys hoopesii prefers moist meadows.
