Jaffueliobryum wrightii is a very hoary (grayish white with long hair points) moss usually of arid lower elevations, although it has been found at over 7000 feet elevation on exposed south exposures. Jaffueliobryum differs from Coscinodon in being concave and not keeled, ovate and 1-stratose entirely. Most importantly, Jaffueliobryum is calciphilic and Coscinodon is acidophilic. There are also now pix of this moss in the portion of the website for mosses within the Gila also where it has been found on the south slope of Bear Mountain.
