Synonyms:
Cathartolinum aristatum (Engelmann) Small

Linum aristatum is a small herb with inconspicuous linear leaves and yellow flowers. It is found on rocky roadsides at upper elevation. The sepals are needle tipped under magnification and lined with minute glandular teeth. The styles are united. The leaves are not serrulate.
