Lophozia sp. (Dum.) Dum.
Family: Lophoziaceae
Status: Native
Synonyms:
Lophozia is a large and complex genus of leafy liverworts with substantial variability. Most species have bilobed (not complicate) leaves; the lobes are most often pointed. Most of the species are very small and identification to species can be difficult. This specimen demonstrates well-developed terminal perianths that are characteristic of the genus. Lophozia occurs as creeping mats in moist upper elevation springs.
