Margaranthus solanacea Schlechtendal

Physalis solanacea immediately seems to be different from our other more common members of the genus Physalis. Physalis solanacea has small urn shaped flowers that are greenish and purple. The herbage is not sticky. The calyx becomes inflated like other members of Physalis and encloses a berry.
