Physaria gooddingii can be quite difficult to key out since the fruits look quite like those of a Draba. They do not seem quite as inflated as those of other Physarias. Physaria gooddingii is a perennial herb with stellate pubescent leaves and stem. The flowers are yellow. The fruiting pedicels are sigmoid. The fruits are compressed and stellate pubescent. The style is just shorter than the fruit. Physaria gooddingii is found at middle to upper elevation in dry meadows.
