Platanthera sparsiflora is found growing on the steep moist hillsides at streamside. It grows
heavily crowded by other plants which prefer the same habitat and it is easily overlooked. The small
flowers are yellow-green and crowded onto a tall spike. The lip is linear and the spur is pronounced.
