Stellaria longipes Goldie var. laeta (Richardson) S. Watson
Stellaria longipes is similar to Stellaria porsildii, with the major difference being that Stellaria longipes is usually mat forming or clumping, while Stellaria porsildii is solitary. The leaves on Stellaria longipes are usually under 3cm in length, while they are over 3cm in length on Stellaria porsildii. A chromosome count is sometimes necessary to definitively distinguish S. longipes from S. porsildii.
