WNMU/CLAY Festival Events

With campus being a cultural hub and home to many artists, Western New Mexico University is a natural partner with Silver City CLAY Festival. The university and CLAY are again collaborating to offer experiences and share expertise during this month’s festival. WNMU ceramics professor emeritus Claude Smith III is being recognized through a retrospective exhibition at Diana Leyba Ingalls Studio and Gallery. In conjunction, he will give a lecture in Parotti Hall. Claude’s work as well as WNMU Assistant Professor of Ceramics Courtney Michaud’s work was accepted into at an exhibit at Light Art Space, and a WNMU Bachelor of Fine Arts student is giving a demo during the festival’s Saturday gallery walk.
