After making New Mexico his home, John Stermer continued to exhibit in New Mexico, Texas and Arizona.  He traveled throughout the western United States as head of the Silver City Arts Council (also known as the Mimbres Region Arts Council), which he founded, and as a New Mexico Arts Commissioner. Virtual Event: 17th Fall WNMU Academic and Research Symposium and Career Fair

The Fall WNMU Academic Symposium and Career Fair will be held in virtually on Thursday, December 2, 2021.   Students of all disciplines will present projects that pertain to research, public service, technology, and industrial/applied technology. The steering committee also encourages exhibits of scholarship and teaching along with any other innovative ideas and creative works for the enjoyment of the WNMU community and the public.
