Deborah Parrish Snyder, Director and Vice President of the Institute of Ecotechnics (www.ecotechnics.edu) and the Publisher of Synergetic Press (www.synergeticpress.com), will give a lecture at Light Hall on April 7 at 7 PM, hosted by Cultural Affairs as part of the Distinguished Speaker Series. Ms. Snyder has been deeply involved in sustainable living projects for many years, including the Biosphere projects, and has published a book on the Anthropocene era.

Her lecture will include a discussion of the history of Biosphere, how it relates to our current era, an examination of the Anthropocene, and where we go from here. Accompanying Ms. Snyder will be Silver City residents Silke Schneider, founder of the Heritage Breeds Southwest association, and Gregg Dugan, tree crop specialist, writer and actor.

This event is free and open to the public.
