Love Letters to the World is an interdisciplinary workshop/public art project that engaged students with Edie Tsong, a Social Practice artist living in Santa Fe. Edie uses poetry and storytelling in her work as inspiration for social interaction.
The letters, written by the students, are heartfelt and beautiful and are scattered throughout downtown Silver City.
“We hope by sharing the thoughts in our hearts publicly, that as you spend time downtown, you remember the humanity of the inhabitants here, in a year where we have been socially distanced, and our deepest sorrows and joys have gone unseen.” Edie Tsong
Meet on the corner of Yankie and Bullard St. at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21 for a public reading of the letters by the students who composed them.
