The State Rehabilitation Council of the Commission for the Blind will hold a regular meeting at Western New Mexico University in Silver City.

The agenda will be posted at least three days prior to the meeting at cfb.state.nm.us. Copies of the agenda can also be obtained by contacting Kelly Burma at 505-841-8844 or kelly.burma@state.nm.us. Any individual with a disability who is in need of a reader, amplifier, qualified sign language interpreter, or any other form of auxiliary aid or service should contact Burma at least five days in advance.

The meeting is set to occur on the WNMU campus at 1000 W. College Avenue in Silver City, specifically at WNMU J. Cloyd Miller Library on the first floor in the open forum area. It will begin on Wednesday, August 7, 2019, at 1:30 p.m. The meeting will continue on Thursday, August 8, 2019, at 9 a.m.

Participating in the meeting will be members of the State Rehabilitation Council of the Commission for the Blind, including Western New Mexico University graduate student Kaity Ellis.

Public Law 101-166 Notice: The Commission receives federal funds from the U.S. Department of Education and from the Health and Human Services Department. For Federal Fiscal Year 2019, the Commission will receive approximately $4,844,950 for Vocational Rehabilitation with a $1,311,276 state match; $55,500 for Supported Employment with a $3,083 state match; $225,000 for Older Blind with a $25,000 state match; and $59,900 for Independent Living with a $6,656 State match.
