This short documentary film treats the viewers to the beauty of the remote Gila Wilderness while also investigating the controversy to dam or divert the last wild river in the American southwest, the Gila River. The film was produced by a student who received support through the WNMU Student Research and Professional Development program.

6:00-6:15 p.m.: Meet & Greet

6:30 p.m.: Introduction of the documentary film “Gila River Rising,” followed by a premiere screening

Filmmaker and WNMU alumna Katherine Nelson will entertain questions at the conclusion of the film.
