Viguiera cordifolia Gray
Aldama cordifolia can be distinguished from other similar species by the shrubby habit with very woody, straight stems that are held stiffly erect. The stems and leaves have stiff, broadly based hairs and glands that make them feel rough and sticky. The discs and rays are yellow. Aldama cordifolia is found at mid elevations in sandy or rocky soils.
