Amblystegium serpens var. juratzkanum is a delicate moss that has leaves that are spreading even when dry. The costa ends near the middle of the leaf. The stem leaves are gradually acuminate. The mid laminar cells are elongate. Amblystegium serpens var. juratzkanum is found in moist forest at upper elevation.
