Arceuthobium microcarpum is the most delicate appearing of the dwarf mistletoes in the Gila National Forest. The branches are rarely over 5cm long and are only 2 or 3mm in diameter. Arceuthobium microcarpum is parasitic on Picea pungens at upper elevation.
