Aristida adscensionis Linnaeus
(Six-Weeks Threeawn)

Family: Poaceae

Status: Native

Synonyms:
Aristida bromoides Humboldt, Bonpland, & Kunth

Aristida adscensionis, like other threeawns, has one-flowered spikelets with three awns in a panicle. However, this threeawn is an annual with a weak root system. Aristida adscensionis can be weak and only a few inches tall, or can grow tall and mimic a perennial.
