Asterella lindenbergiana (Corda ex Nees) Lindb. ex Arnell

Status: Native

Synonyms:
Fimbraria lindenbergiana Corda ex Nees

Asterella lindenbergiana has 1-3cm long thalli that are 6-10mm wide. The ventral surface is red-brown to purple with red-brown to purple scales that have a lanceolate to triangular appendage. The sporophyte has a fringed receptacle. Mature spores are red-brown.
