Baccharis pteronioides A.P. de Candolle

Baccharis ramulosa (A.P. de Candolle) Gray

Baccharis pteronioides is a smaller shrub than most Baccharis in the Gila Wilderness. The flowers are small and greenish-white with a pappus of white bristles. It is not grazed upon by cattle. The leaves are small, silvery, and linear to linear-lanceolate. They are found in fascicles (bundles) along the woody stems. The individual leaves are entire to coarsely toothed and are covered with minute glands in deep craters that are surrounded by the caked on exuded resin.
