Baileya multiradiata is found in dry sand or among dry rocks. It has a yellow or orange disc and
finely toothed yellow or orange rays. The light gray leaves are lobed and diminish in size as they ascend the stem, which is bare for the last several centimeters of height. Baileya multiradiata is found at lower elevations where it is frequently the most showy flowering plant.
