Brachytheciastrum fendleri (Sull.) Ochyra & Żarnowiec

Family: Brachytheciaceae

Status: Native

Synonyms:
Brachythecium fendleri (Sull.) A. Jaeger

Brachytheciastrum fendleri is a pleurocarpous moss with a predilection for rocky overhangs near creeks. The leaves are best described as minute, less than 1mm long generally. The costa runs for about 1/3-1/2 the length of the leaf. The leaf margin is strongly dentate. The capsules are held erect, rather than inclined or horizontal as in Brachytheciastrum collinum.
