Brachythecium rotaeanum De Not.

Status: Native

Synonyms:
Chamberlainia rotaeana (De Not.) H. Rob.

Brachythecium rotaeanum is a moderate to large species of the genus. The costa ends well below the apex. The alar cells are not inflated. The stem leaves are not deeply plicate but can be moderately plicate. The stem leaves are 2-3mm long and have 5-8 rows of basal laminal cells that are set off from the elongate cells of the lamina.
