Bromus ciliatus is a perennial without rhizomes and has a 3-nerved second glume.
The first glume is one nerved and glabrous. The lemmas are pubescent along the edge but nearly
glabrous elsewhere. The anthers are less than 1.5mm long. Bromus ciliatus is commonly found
among ponderosa pines in the same area as other brome species.
