Calandrinia ciliata of New Mexico reports
Calandrinia menziesii is a rather inconspicuous prostrate herb with small, 4-petaled white flowers in New Mexico-- though they are mostly red in California and Arizona. In our population, there appear to be 5 stamens, and three stigma lobes. There are 2 sepals. The capsule is distinctly three-valved. The seeds are black and round with a cobblestone pattern. Calandrinia menziesii is known from grazed pasture in desert grassland.
