Candelariella rosulans (Müll.Arg.) Zahlbr.

Candelariella rosulans is a small crustose egg yolk yellow lichen that grows on wood. The apothecia have a yellow disc and rim. Unlike in Acarospora, the apothecia are not sunken into the squamules in Candelariella rosulans. The yellow squamules are lobed and have no soredia. The spores are simple to 1-septate and elliptic in shape, and are 8 per ascus. Candelariella rosulans grows on rocks in full sunlight in the Gila.
