Carex agrostoides Mackenzie
(Grassleaf Sedge)


Family: Cyperaceae

Status: Native

Synonyms:
Carex chihuahuensis Mackenzie

Carex agrostoides is a rather robust streamside sedge. The spike has an interrupted appearance. The spikelets are androgynous. The perigynia are plano-convex. The scales are not quite as broad as the perigynia, have a strong central vein, and a hyaline or brownish margin.
