Synonyms:

Chaenactis stevioides has pinnately lobed leaves and radiate flowerheads that appear discoid. The peripheral florets are enlarged and bilaterally symmetric. The foliage is grayish-cobwebby. The phyllaries are stalked-glandular. Chaenactis stevioides is found in generally drier scrubby areas.
