Synonyms:
Athalamia nana (Shimizu & S. Hatt.) S. Hatt.
Athalamia glaucovirens Shimizu & S. Hatt.
Gollaniella nana Shimizu & S. Hatt.

Clevea nana is a complex thallous liverwort with hyaline or purplish appendages on the ventral scales that often form conspicuous clusters. The scales project beyond the margin of the thallous. This specimen was found in the crevice of coarse talus by Seville Flowers in 1963.
