Synonyms:
Parosela urceolata (Greene) A. Hell.

Dalea urceolata is an annual herb found in Mexico, and north to Arizona and New Mexico. It has flowers that initially look papilionaceous, but are quite reduced. The banner is present, but the remainder of the petals may be absent. Usually there are 2 inner petals present. The calyces are mostly pubescent at the mouth. The stamens are reduced in number as well. The leaves are pinnately compound with punctate glandular leaflets.
