Drepanocladus longifolius (Wilson ex Mitten) Brotherus ex Paris
Family: Amblystegiaceae
Status: Native
Synonyms:
Amblystegium longifolium Wilson ex Mitten
Drepanocladus aduncus var. capillifolius (Warnstorf) Riehmer
Drepanocladus capillifolius (Warnstorf) Warnstorf
Drapenaocladus crassicostatus Janssens
Drepanocladus longifolius has a long excurrent costa, unlike our other members of Drepanocladus. The
costa is so attenuate that it becomes nearly filiform toward the apex. Drepanocladus longifolius is not common in New Mexico,
but is found along waterways and lakes.
Many thanks to the University of Colorado Herbarium (COLO), Erin Tripp, & Dina Clark for permitting us
to visit and photograph this specimen.
