Erigeron divergens is a common lower elevation and city-dwelling herb. The heads are 2-3 centimeters in diameter and have narrow white rays with a yellow central disc. The herbage is grayish green with short spreading hairs of differing lengths. The leaves can be either pinnatifid or entire. Erigeron divergens can be quite variable in appearance.
