Eriogonum thurberi is an inconspicuous annual herb with a basal rosette of racquet shaped woolly leaves and a leafless scape. The tepals are fanshaped. The bottom of the scape is woolly tomentose. Eriogonum thurberi is found in arid locations at lower elevation.
