Eurhynchiastrum pulchellum (Hedwig) Ignatov & Huttunen

Family: Brachytheciaceae

Status: Native

Synonyms:
Eurhynchium pulchellum (Hedw.) Jennings
Eurhynchium diversifolium Schimper
Rhynchostegium pulchellum (Hedw.) Robinson

I have duplicated this moss here-- it is already on the mosses of the Gila part of gilaflora. However, I initially thought that this was Oxyrrhynchium hians as the two mosses are easy to confuse. However, the branch leaves of E. pulchellum are blunter and differ in shape from the more acuminate stem leaves. The branch leaves of E. hians are not obtuse or much different in shape from the stem leaves. I will leave the pix up here to help me (and others?) remember how the two species differ.
